OneTokenMeter is an Android app that shows how much of your AI usage limits you have used. This policy explains what the app handles and where it goes. The short version: everything stays on your phone, and nothing is sent to us.

What We Collect

We run no servers for this app and receive no data from it. There are no user accounts, advertising, analytics, or crash reporting in the app.

What the App Stores on Your Phone

  • Sign-in credentials you provide for the services you choose to connect: sign-in tokens, session cookies, or API keys. They are stored in the Android Keystore through encrypted storage and are never shown or exported.
  • Usage readings (for example “62% of weekly limit used, resets in 2 days”) so the app, its home-screen widget and quick-settings tile can show your last reading.
  • Your settings: theme, alert threshold, and background-refresh choice.

Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup are turned off for this app, so this data is not copied to Google Drive or another device. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.

Where Your Data Goes

When you connect a service, the app talks directly to that service to read your usage. Your credential is sent only to that service, over HTTPS:

ServiceSent to
Claudeclaude.ai, platform.claude.com, api.anthropic.com
Codexauth.openai.com, chatgpt.com
GitHub Copilotgithub.com, api.github.com
Cursorcursor.com
Grokgrok.com
Perplexityperplexity.ai
Geminigemini.google.com (Google sign-in pages)
OpenRouteropenrouter.ai
DeepSeekapi.deepseek.com

Sign-in pages are the service’s own pages, shown inside the app or in your browser. The app never sees your passwords. Each service handles your data under its own privacy policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.

Permissions

  • Internet / network state: to read your usage from the services above.
  • Notifications: optional local alerts when a limit is nearly used up or reached. They are created on your phone, not pushed from a server.
  • Run at startup, wake lock, vibrate: used by Android’s scheduler to refresh readings in the background, and by notifications.

Your Choices

  • Disconnect a service in the app to delete its saved credential and readings immediately.
  • Turn off alerts or background refresh in Settings at any time.
  • Uninstall the app to remove everything.

Not Affiliated

OneTokenMeter is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic, OpenAI, GitHub, Microsoft, Cursor, xAI, Perplexity, Google, OpenRouter, or DeepSeek. Their names are used only to describe what the app connects to. Some services do not offer an official usage API, so the app reads the same information their own websites show you; this can stop working if a service changes.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date above, and for material changes we will say so in the app’s release notes.
